Shopfronts and offices
A retail or office swing door earns its money by being slammed seven hundred times a day. The floor spring is the part doing the absorbing, and after about five years the hydraulic seal inside it starts to weep. The symptom is a door that closes faster on cold mornings than warm afternoons, or one that has stopped self-latching altogether. We replace the cement-cased floor spring with the engineering effort it deserves: door off, glass cradled, old box chiselled out, new box cement-bedded back in to manufacturer's tolerance. Expect three to four hours and a same-day finish.
Shower and bathroom glass
Shower hinges are the opposite problem: hardly any cycles, but constant exposure to soap, lime and warm water. The chromed brass cracks, the seals squeak, the door starts dropping a millimetre at a time. We carry generic and OEM replacements for the major UK shower brands and can usually re-set a screen in under ninety minutes — with a four-hour window before reuse to let the silicone cure.
Glass doors are forgiving until they aren't. A patch hinge that's been slowly creeping for six months can drop overnight. If yours has begun to chatter or scrape — call sooner rather than later.

For shopfronts we'll happily attend before opening or after close — we work nights for several Soho retailers each month. Shower screens are slotted into our regular weekday calendar; book by Wednesday for a Saturday morning if you can.
